Home turf

I've made an attempt to level the lower third of the garden. So that I could do yoga on the lawn in summer. Or read a book. Or have a pique-nique. Or a barbie.

It took me about 6 hours, spread over 3 days, to level and prepare the ground.

Now, here's the turf. I went to St Albans to get it from George Davies Turf, who source the grass from Scunthorpe in North Lincolnshire

Then I popped inside the house, and took a quick shot of the 'Chapeau de Paille' and a curtain a bought in a charity shop the other day.

And when I looked out of the back window I saw... this!

Now it's a waiting game. The turf should have rooted in about 3 to 5 weeks. Just in time for my sister, who's coming over with my two football-playing nephews...
